Student Services

As a student at ÐãÉ«ÊÓƵ and the University of Toronto, you have access to a number of excellent services offered by both institutions.

There are a number of offices at ÐãÉ«ÊÓƵ that provide services to students, and these services all work closely together to support you! You can approach any one of them, knowing they can help you or connect you with other resources. Make sure to check out the services provided by each office (below) so that you know where you can get assistance for your particular needs. The Student Services Centre

The Trinity Student Services Centre (SSC) houses the Office of the Dean of Students and the Office of the Registrar, providing a reliable first stop and accessible experience for students.

*Please note the Student Services Centre will be closed at 3:00pm on Friday October 11th and all day on Monday October 14th.Ìý We will re-open for regular hours on Tuesday October 15th.

We’re located on the main floor of ÐãÉ«ÊÓƵ, at 6 Hoskin Avenue. Our front desk is open:

  • Monday: 10:00am-1:00pm and 2:00-4:00pm
  • Tuesday: 10:00am-1:00pm and 2:00-4:00pm
  • Wednesday: 10:30am-1:00pm and 2:00-4:00pm Ìý *Please note our slightly different hours on Wednesdays
  • Thursday: 10:00am-1:00pm and 2:00-4:00pm

Student Services Centre: ÐãÉ«ÊÓƵ, 6 Hoskin Avenue

The Welcome Desk

The ÐãÉ«ÊÓƵ Welcome Desk is located in the front foyer of the ÐãÉ«ÊÓƵ building at 6 Hoskin Avenue, and is open 24 hours a day. Staff at the Welcome Desk provide service to Trinity community members including answering general questions, renting lockers, helping residence students with parcel pick-ups, providing assistance when students are locked out of their rooms, placing work orders, signing out keys for bookable spaces around the College, and more. Stop by and meet our friendly Welcome Desk staff members!

Lockers:ÌýLockers at Trinity are rentedÌýon a first-come, first-served basis at a fee of $30 for the year ($25 for renewals). Lockers must be rented at the ÐãÉ«ÊÓƵ Welcome Desk with your TCard.

Office of the Registrar

The Office of the Registrar provides all Trinity students with academic, financial, and personal advising. The advisors in our office will listen, offer answers, options, clarification, and advice, and can also refer students to other more specialized services offered by Trinity and the University of Toronto.Ìý Get in touch if you have questions, have encountered difficulties, or simply want to talk to someone about your plans.

The Registrar’s Office front desk is open for in-person drop-in questions – find our office hours below!Ìý You can stop by the Student Services Centre if you have a quick question, want to book an appointment, or need a form filled out.Ìý You are also welcome to send us a message at trinity.registrar@utoronto.ca – we can help out by email or set up an appointment for a one-on-one meeting with an academic advisor.Ìý We are also regularly holding drop-in hours online – see details below on how to connect.

Online Drop-In Hours

  • Tuesdays: 10:00am to 12:00pm (noon)
  • Thursdays: 10:00am to 12:00pm (noon)
During these hours, a staff member from the Registrar’s office will be logged into Teams and available to answer your questions – drop in anytime during the two-hour window to chat.Ìý In order to access drop-in hours, follow these steps:
  1. Log into using your UTORid.
  2. Go to ‘Trinity Life’ or ‘TRIN101’ in your list of courses (current students should receive an invitation to the Trinity Life course by email in September – if you missed it, please let us know).
  3. Go to your modules and select the page ‘Office of the Registrar’ under ‘Student Services Centre’.
  4. Look for the Teams link listed under ‘Drop-In Hours Online’ and click to join!

Office of the Dean of Students

The Office of the Dean of Students is responsible for oversight of the non-academic student life at the College, with the ultimate goal of fostering the well-being and academic success of Trinity students.

This entails several focus areas:

  • Working one-on-one with students to support them and advocate on their behalf
  • Working directly with student leadership to ensure student representation and delivery of appropriate supportive and social programming initiatives
  • Connecting students with appropriate resources within Trinity, the University of Toronto, and beyond
  • Oversight of residence admissions and placements; school-year management of residence operations
  • Emergency and crisis response and liaising with appropriate resources
  • Oversight of the College’s Health & Wellness Program
  • Supervision of the student life aspect of the Academic Don staff portfolio
  • Interpretation and application of relevant non-academic policies, also their development and revision through governance
  • Liaising with the University of Toronto to ensure optimal delivery of services

The Rev. Dr. Christopher C. Brittain is the Dean of Divinity and Margaret E. Fleck Chair in Anglican Studies at ÐãÉ«ÊÓƵ. As the Dean of Divinity, Prof. Brittain is responsible for ÐãÉ«ÊÓƵ’s theology program in the Faculty of Divinity.
